Aberdeen Golf Course proved to be a challenging venue for the Grand Strand Pro Golf Tour today. With winds gusting up to 45 mph today, only one player managed to shoot under par. Jason Perry started slow but steady shooting a (+1) 37 on the front nine of the Woodlands’ Course. He managed to birdie the first three holes on the back nine at the Highlands Course and shot a very impressive (-2) 70 for the tournament to win by two strokes and a check for $650. Ryan Tyndall played very solid all day but found some unfortunate breaks on the last two holes. He still shot (E) 72 to take 2nd place and a check for $450. Daniel Obermski shot (+5) 77 to hold on to 3rd place and a check for $300. The golf course was in great shape and the GSPGT would like to thank the staff at Aberdeen for assisting with the tournament. The next event is at Long Bay G.C. in Longs on April 18th-19th for the GSPGT first two day event for the 2011 season.
